Part A — Selling your vehicle to us
Cash payments illegal — bank transfer only (Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013).
1. Making an agreement
When you submit your vehicle details through our online quote flow, you receive an indicative or guaranteed quote with a reference number. Your quote is an offer; we conclude the sale when your vehicle is collected and the agreed amount is paid. We may decline to buy any vehicle, for example where it is not an end-of-life vehicle or we cannot lawfully process it.
2. Ownership and identity
You confirm that you own the vehicle (or are authorised to sell it), that the details you provide (including the V5C/logbook status) are accurate, and that the vehicle has no outstanding finance or, if it does, that you have the lender's permission to sell it. Under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013 we are required to verify your identity and record the transaction; we will ask you to provide ID and your bank details for payment.
3. Depollution and title transfer
Title in the vehicle passes to us on collection. We then depollute and process the vehicle as a licensed ATF and issue a DVLA Certificate of Destruction (CoD), which we send to you and register with the DVLA. You must not claim or continue to use the vehicle (including its registration) after transfer.
4. Payment — bank transfer only
Payment is made by bank transfer (BACS) to the account you provide. Cash payments illegal — bank transfer only (Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013). Payment is typically made within 5 working days of collection once the vehicle has been weighed and processed.
5. Your quote
Quotes are based on the vehicle details and condition you provide. If the vehicle differs materially at collection (for example, major parts are missing or the weight is significantly different), the price may be adjusted before payment. Scrap prices are reviewed regularly against UK metal markets.
Part B — Buying used parts from our shop
1. Product descriptions and grading
All parts are salvaged from vehicles at our licensed facility and are used unless stated otherwise. Each part carries a condition grade:
- Grade A — excellent condition, minimal wear, fully tested where applicable, supplied with a warranty.
- Grade B — good condition, shows normal wear for age and mileage, supplied with a warranty.
- Grade C — fair condition, may show visible wear or minor faults; sold "as seen" with no warranty unless stated.
- Grade D — sold "as seen" for repair or spares, no warranty.
Descriptions include donor vehicle mileage where known. Compatibility information is a guide: always check the part number and fitment notes, and contact us if you are unsure before ordering.
2. Prices, VAT and delivery
Prices are shown in pounds sterling including VAT at 20%. Delivery costs are shown at checkout. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors; if a price is obviously wrong we will contact you before processing your order.
3. Payment
Parts orders are paid online by debit or credit card through our payment provider. We do not store your card details.
4. Delivery and risk
We aim to dispatch within 3 working days. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. If a part is damaged in transit, tell us within 48 hours of delivery and include photos, and we will arrange a replacement or refund.
5. Returns — 14-day right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
As a consumer, you have 14 calendar days from the day you receive your part to cancel your order and return it for a full refund (excluding delivery costs, as permitted by law), without giving a reason. To cancel, contact us within the 14-day window. You are responsible for returning the part in its original condition, and for the cost of returning it unless the part was faulty or not as described. We will refund you within 14 days of the return or of your proof of return.
6. Faulty or not as described
If a part arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, tell us as soon as possible (and within 30 days) and we will repair, replace or refund it, and cover reasonable return costs. Your statutory rights are not affected. Warranty terms, where a part carries one, will be stated on the product page.
7. "Sold as seen" parts
Grade C and Grade D parts are sold "as seen": they are supplied as salvage items and, except where required by law (including where goods are not as described or of unsatisfactory quality), are not covered by any warranty. Please read the grade and condition notes before ordering.
Part C — General
1. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or fraud. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from a parts order is limited to the price you paid for that part.
2. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
